I am again present here with a description of a small tour to a place of DOOARS, called RASAMATI. It is a newly formed picnic spot in between PUNDIBARI and SONAPUR of COOCHBEHAR. The forest of RASAMATI is connected with the forest range of CHILABATA FOREST. The place is situated beside the TORSA RIVER and interestingly the sandy area of the river is used as the corridor by the WILD ANIMALS of the DOOARS. Remember, the place is not the house of the animals rather it is the tour place of those wild animals of DOOARS. You will find here different birds on the lake as it is a good place of photography. You will find the three way traffic after going 2 and half km. away from the picnic spot, the left one reached to the lake and the right one reached the forest where you may meet your hope. The way is a prohibited one, so you may take the permission.
ROUTE DESCRIPTIONS:
Take the route of SONAPUR from COOCHBEHAR. Drop in PATLAKHWA, view the banner of RASAMATI in the left, go through the gravel road and reach the four way traffic, go straight and cross the joice bridge through the beat bunglows, there the place.
It is just 22 km away from COOCHBEHAR and 2.5 km. from the main entrance.
It will take just 45 mints.
So just enjoy keeping COOCHBEHAR main town as your staying place. Good hotels are waiting for you as GREENVIEW,YUBORAJ, HOTEL ELITE and others.
